I had a similar issue with this upgrade on Fiber channel SAN's. In my case it was because my SAN was VAII enabled and I had not yet loaded the VAII vendor vib. If your iSCSI is VAII enabled you might need the driver to see the storage if the rest of your storage can see it. Just a suggestion.
